Приєднався 10 лис 2012
Welcome to The Art of Aaron Blaise. I've been an artist all of my life and it's here that I'd like to share with all of you some of my techniques of painting the natural world around us.
Aaron Blaise is an animation feature film director and wildlife artist.
For 21 years Aaron worked with Disney helping to create some of the greatest animated films ever made. During that time he worked as an animator or supervising animator on "The Rescuers Down Under", "Beauty and the Beast", "Aladdin", "The Lion King", "Pocahontas", "Mulan" and more.
In 2003 he was co-director of "Brother Bear" for which he earned an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature Film.
After "Brother Bear" he helped to develop several projects but ultimately left Disney to pursue an opportunity back home in Florida. Aaron recently served as 2D Animation Supervisor and Character Designer for the "The Bear and the Hare" an advertisement loved by millions around the world. He created CreatureArtTeacher.com

I still believe this is actually animation. The images are drawn by an artist and interpreted by the computer to create variations, but you still have to go through all the frames to create the illusion of animation. Because of that, I consider it to be animation. AI animation is probably the best term for it at this point. However, it might need a new name because a human is still involved, using AI to bring their visual ideas to life. This allows for some form of expression or self-expression as an artist, even if you don't see yourself as a full-fledged artist. Creatively, you are producing and creating something, which in my book makes you an artist. In fact, anyone creating something is an artist, even if they're destroying something, as it's a form of art in principle. I also don't think this will replace artist as animators anytime soon. It's more of an add-on, like digital animation is another tool in the animator's toolbox. Once AI animation reaches its optimal level, it can make animators' lives much easier. Traditional animation is still done by some, and I believe we should keep it alive, even for fun or as a hobby. I plan to start doing it myself. This way, you get the best of all three worlds: traditional animation, digital animation, and AI animation. Digital animation makes the process easier and more affordable, allowing more people to join in. AI animation can be another tool to help artists create content faster. It's not just about being an animation expert; it's about the stories you're telling. The more content you produce, the more recognition you can gain. This tool can help not only animators but artists in general across all fields, including comics and storyboarding. You can save a lot of time by not having to draw everything yourself, making it easier to explain and create your vision.
entire fields of art and literature have already been wiped out by automated plagiarism(LLM generative AI), particularly graphic design and magazine articles.
The volume and weight are awesome!
I can't wait!!!
waking life didn't have Keanu. It was "A Scanner Darkly" which used similar effects.
Yeah I misspoke
How many frames per second is good for animation please
I animate at 24 FPS so sometimes for fast action that’s 1 drawing per frame so 24 drawings. And sometimes you can hold drawings in 2’s so 12 drawings per second. But the frame rate I work at is 24
Everyone who has ever told me I would be replaced by...Overseas production, Mo Cap, AI... has been replaced. You know what AI will easily replace? Producers. Most of them are just spread sheets with legs.
🤣
Sempre gostei dessa música na abertura dos vídeos, e agora nesse trailer ficou perfeita
reminds me of the brother bear feel, but a little different, I liked it
Aaron Blaise, James Baxter, and Don Bluth are my heroes! I wouldn't be alive today without animation skills!
Rotten bastards making people buy stuff separately instead of providing all that's absolutely necessary, for a fair price. Imagine going to a restaurant and they only bring you the plate and you have to pay extra for the cutlery, napkin, glass etc.
Your site looks fantastic. I look forward to trying some of your lessons in future.
Glad you like them and I hope you do :)
Hello from Nottingham, England
great video. excited to check out the course
AAAH FINALLY I CANT WAIT!!! Ive been following the progress for years now
I’m reading Figure Drawing For All It’s Worth, by Andrew Loomis. It was written in the 1940s. In the foreword, he reassures the reader not to be discouraged by cameras becoming mainstream. He says photography will never replace the artist, because we create something beyond reality that a camera could never capture. He was right. Photography became a tool for artists and an art form in and of itself. I think AI will be the same.
If I had 500 I would have bought this in a heartbeat long ago 😢😢 It would be a dream come true to have a lifetime subscription someday
I'd love to- it's just that my annual subscription only just renewed.... And there doesn't appear to be a way to upgrade for people who already own the subscription. Thats really my only issue.
If you email support@creatureartteacher.com we can help you apply your order as a credit to upgrade :)
As a visual learner, this actually helped me understand dog anatomy very well. Well explained too, I could understand everything and it was broken down into very bite-sized chunks of info! Thanks Aaron!
If I only had money for I would get it 😢

what software is that ? clip studio?
This creature that you drew 7 years ago now appeared in the film Kong and Godzilla New Empire lol
I love how reminiscent it is, the memories of watching brother bear in my childhood flood back, one of my favourite movies ever made and it makes me so happy to have found this today! Bears will always be my favourite animal and maybe that’s because of your wonderful creation pulling at my heart! ❤️🐻
Why algorithms why😢 , it's to late
Como español solo puedo decir OLÉ!! Y eso que no me interesa el toreo.
I made an animation myself over the span of a day (The previous one I had a Covid positive diagnosis) ua-cam.com/video/3nUkc5WLJUA/v-deo.htmlsi=NST84WY_oEFf5sKg The whole thing is a spiritual sequel to the rite of Spring from Fantasia. although it’s heavily inspired from Jurassic Park and a tribute to walking with dinosaurs which turns 25 this year (The BBC and PBS are bringing it back next year for season two)
You are my inspiration man!
RUN FROM THE HUNTER'S NET, PLEASE 😢😢😢
the one class that should be required in schools is emotional intelligence. we all suck at it. the terrain of making art is very treacherous in this respect because your pulling from deep within your subconscious to make art. its not coming from some sterile place. the nature of creativity is to plumb ones depths. so hearing someone criticize the work is always difficult. the lines between you and your work if your passionate about it are very blurred. doing art as a job is like putting yourself into a wood chipper every day. then throw corp culture on top of that and its like a line of wood chippers. im 53 and still learning to thicken my skin enough to take it.
Thank you for being so generous and sharing your knowledge! Your work is truly amazing ❤
We apreciate the check sacrifice mister, thanks
